The Complete 21st Century Flutist: The Global Artist will be held from June 24 to July 8, 2026 in Mondovì, Italy.
Spend 14 days in the hills of the Piemonte region of Italy in the magical medieval town of Mondovì, refining everything about your artistry! There you will learn from and collaborate with a dynamic and inspiring team of international flute and piccolo artists.
Hi, my name is Rena Urso, the Artistic Director of The Complete 21st Century Flutist: The Global Artist.
I want to welcome you to the potential of joining us for a life-changing experience into your artistic life as a flutist.
In today’s ever-changing musical landscape, being versatile and flexible musical artists is imperative to building and sustaining a fulfilling career. What makes this class unique and sets it apart from many others is the team of global artists, the immersive cultural experience of living and studying for 2 weeks in Italy, and the wide variety of areas of study.
Your days will be filled with daily warm up/technique classes; study and performance of repertoire from Baroque to present day; daily masterclasses with each of the guest artists; musician wellness with Body Mapping, Alexander Technique, and yoga; presentations and workshops on entrepreneurship and how to create and sustain a meaningful career; orchestral and opera excerpts; chamber music; performances by students and guest artists, and more!

A day in the life at The Global Artist
8:30 am Breakfast at the Academia
Practice
10 am Movement Class (Yoga, Body Mapping, Alexander Technique, etc.)
11 am Warm Ups (Led by a different artist each day)
12 - 2 pm Lunch
Practice
2:30 - 6:30 Masterclasses with the Artists (with a break for caffe in the middle!)
Aperitivo/Dinner/Free evening/Practice
This schedule will fluctuate on the days that include special workshops, chamber music rehearsals, evening concerts, and our Dogliani excursion/performance.
