Fiorella Andriani
Since 1993, Fiorella Andriani has held the position of Solo Piccolo of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Torino, Itay. She has also performed in the Orchestra of the Italian Swiss Radio, Chamber Orchestra of Mantova, and with both the Radio Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonieorchester in Basel, Switzerland.
As a specialist in the practice and performance of ancient music on both modern flute and flauto traverso, Fiorella regularly performs all over Italy, including for the Music School of Ancient Music in Milano with Marcello Gatti. She received her diploma with “grand distinction” from the Conservatoire Royale in Brussels under the guidance of Barthold Kuijken. Additionally, she was a prize winner at the International Bonporti Competition in Rovereto, performing chamber music on original instruments. She is a regular collaborator with the Baroque and Classical orchestra Accademia Montis Regalis as well as with ensemble L’Astrée and the Baroque ensembles Dolc’avre Consort, Concerto Madrigalesco and Concert sans Orchestre. She is a co-founder of La Mole Armonica, a chamber ensemble on original instruments with fellow colleagues of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra and professor of Baroque Flute at the Cavour school in Torino.
Fiorella is a graduate of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Torino in both flute and humanities. Additional studies were at the Accademia Lorenzo Perosi and the Musik Akademie der Stadt Basel. Her teachers include Peter Lukas Graf and Emmanuel Pahud.
